Is Homesnap Pro The New MLS Mobile Platform?

MLSs nationwide now have 1 year free access to the agent-only real estate app, Homesnap Pro. The announcement was made at Real Estate Connect in early July 2014 by Homesnap; the Technology Company and Brokerage based in Washington, DC with over 50,000 agents currently registered for the app.

PEMCO Limited had the pleasure of speaking with Steve Barnes, co-founder of Homesnap and real estate transaction extraordinaire. During our conversation, Steve expressed how important it was for Homesnap to “make things as easy for the agent as possible”; a task Homesnap seems to have conquered. In the first 5 weeks of their app’s launch, over 7,000 agents downloaded the “consumer version of Homesnap on steroids,” Homesnap Pro.

Homesnap launched Homesnap Pro for agents in May, offering free in-app branding with public profiles, client chat, home recommendations and instant comparative marketing analysis (CMA) to registered agents. Their initial partnership with MRIS, the nation’s second largest MLS located in Washington, DC, only fueled a yearning to establish like partnerships with MLSs nationwide.

MLS information on the go and the ability to share the app with clients and customers are just a few of the reasons agents are dying to give Homesnap Pro a try. Agents have the ability to make personalized email marketing campaigns for their contacts as well as share their platform with clients and vice versa for real-time communication. “It’s become much more of a collaborative experience,” said Alyssa Hellman, Long & Foster Real Estate Agent. “My clients and I are looking at the same experience.”

With the real estate industry being one of the last to embrace technology and agents’ historical aversion to mobile technology verses a more personable approach; Homesnap combines the two, resulting in seamless interactions and happy agents and customers alike.

Steve and the rest of the Homesnap team are confident in their product and promise that the app is going to continue to improve stating “keep an eye on us for big things in the future.”

Homesnap was founded in 2008 and is a trusted real estate search platform for both online and mobile users. When using the Homesnap app, users have the ability to snap a photo of any home in the U.S. for a wealth of information on the home. Homesnap sources include over 40 MLS databases, tax records, census data, mortgage rates, geographic boundaries, etc.
