Review Appraiser – Citrus Heights,CA

Key Purpose

PEMCO Limited is looking to hire a qualified review appraiser to work out of our California office. The certified In House Appraiser is responsible for understanding and implementing all state, federal, CFPB rulings to ensure that PEMCO Limited’s processes are compliant and mitigate risk. This position is responsible for advising PEMCO Limited, its clients, and its appraisal panel to mitigate risk and operate according to local, state, federal compliance measures. Additionally, the certified appraiser will support business development and client relationships, vendor management, and analyze, review, validate, and correct quality of data included in different valuation products and/or services.

Key Responsibilities

Appraisal Review and Analysis

  • Responsible to perform 100% review on each appraisal using a checklist as well as internal automated review and UCDP SSR reporting
  • Send work order for any revisions needed to the appraiser
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests from interested parties
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Research compliance guidelines as they relate to AMC registration and management
  • Research compliance and current guidelines as it relates to appraisers and update team as needed
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market trends, competitors and leading strategies
  • Maintain awareness of organizational growth initiatives regarding regional/national market and target customer segments, and the company’s potential to meet customer needs with a product or service

  • Maintain awareness of organizational growth initiatives regarding regional/national market and target customer segments, and the company’s potential to meet customer needs with a product or service
  • Research and obtain the software/data sources to best serve our client’s needs as well as the internal processes
  • Research and enforce compliance guidelines as they relate to AMC registration and management
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market trends, competitors and leading strategies
  • Vendor Management & Client Relationships

  • Communicate with appraisers and maintain open lines of communication
  • Train appraisers regularly with new compliance regulations and corporate initiatives to maintain good customer satisfaction, and provide clients with timely and accurate appraisals
  • Report individual appraisal progress and provide monthly score cards to vendors, staff, and clients upon request
  • Track, record, and communicate vendor deficiencies
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and clients
  • Provide daily quality customer service to vendors and clients 
  • Skills/Qualifications

  • Licensed residential appraiser, preferably certified. At least 3 to 5 years’ experience
  • Analyzing Information, Professionalism, Problem Solving, multi-task, handle email, phone calls, and follow-up, Verbal Communication
  • Real Estate/Escrow experience desired
